Eisen
- 3+ years experience working with MySQL and PostgreSQL

Our client, a prominent educational institution in Brussels, is looking for an experienced developer to strengthen their internal ICT team. This role involves leading the development and maintenance of in-house web applications using the Symfony framework while providing coaching and technical guidance to the team.
Responsibilities: Lead and coach a team of developers to ensure high-quality software delivery; Execute complex programming tasks including coding, testing, and debugging; Develop and maintain web applications using the Symfony framework; Manage deployment and release pipelines within a DevOps environment; Perform functional and technical analyses for new and existing software solutions; Write unit and browser tests to maintain high standards of code reliability; Take a leading role in facilitating Agile development methodologies within the team.
Requirements: 8+ years of experience in web-based applications; 5+ years backend development with PHP and Symfony; 5+ years DevOps with Jenkins; 3+ years Docker; 3+ years MySQL and PostgreSQL; proven track record in functional and technical analyses; experience leading development teams; professional Agile experience in leadership; native Dutch speaker.
Nice to haves: knowledge of university context; experience writing browser-based tests.
Offer: Start date 01/01/2027, duration 6 months, full-time, location Elsene, hybrid (minimum 2 days per week onsite), contract open to both permanent employees and freelancers.
