Senior Legal Counsel – Commercial

Join the in-house legal team of an established UK business on a day-rate contract, working closely with the General Counsel.

Responsibilities: provide pragmatic, commercially oriented legal advice across the organisation; draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements; handle a varied business-as-usual legal caseload with little oversight; support colleagues across multiple departments and business units; advise on governance, compliance and general corporate issues; spot legal and commercial risks and see matters through to resolution; act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders; add extra capacity to a small, busy legal team.

Profiel van de geschikte interim professional: experience as an in-house lawyer at Senior Legal Counsel level; broad background in commercial contracts and general BAU legal work; ability to cover multiple roles within a small team; proactive, practical and hands-on working style; capacity to work independently and juggle competing priorities; commercial mindset with a solution-oriented, fast-paced approach; confident communication with stakeholders at every level; strong fit with a collaborative team culture alongside technical skill; availability to start on short notice; background in logistics, manufacturing, industrial, engineering or infrastructure is a plus but not required.
