Senior Product Owner

We are looking for a Product Owner to establish and develop a worldwide Digital Asset Management platform within a complex international organisation. You will create the operating model, governance, processes and roadmap that enable assets to be governed, found, reused and distributed effectively across the regions. As Product Owner you are responsible for the vision, first setup and continuous development of the global DAM platform. You connect Marketing, IT, suppliers and content owners for an aligned approach to asset-, brand-, product- and contentmanagement.

Starting largely from scratch, you will create the operating model, governance structure and roadmap. You will establish standards for metadata, taxonomy, compliance and ownership while ensuring asset- and content accountability remains with the business. Your work will drive adoption, standardisation and measurable business value across multiple regions. This interim assignment is very suitable for self-employed professionals (ZZP). You will work within an international organisation operating across multiple regions.

You will collaborate closely with Marketing, Commercial Excellence, IT, external vendors, agencies and business stakeholders. English is the working language. You will have to work for and with co-workers around the globe, although on-site presence is required on a regular base because the senior stakeholders are working from the Amersfoort office.

Your responsibilities include: conducting an AS IS analysis of processes and governance of digital-, brand-, and content assets and creation systems; envisioning and developing a TO BE operating model for a centralised global DAM platform; developing and communicating the vision and roadmap for the global DAM platform; translating global and regional needs into priorities, requirements and a manageable backlog; establishing metadata, taxonomy, classification, access and compliance standards; setting up clear governance including decision-making forums and escalation routes; and driving adoption through training, community building and a key-user network.

You bring: proven experience as Product Owner of a DAM platform or a comparable global content or asset management platform; at least 5 years of senior-level experience with DAM, metadata, taxonomy, permissions and asset lifecycle management; experience working in complex international organisations with multiple brands, regions or countries; experience with vendor management, roadmap prioritisation, governance and integrations; extensive experience with interconnected CMS, DAM, DMS, PaaS and SaaS platforms and multifunctional suites; preferably experience with regulated content, usage rights and international compliance requirements; excellent English communication skills; you are structured, decisive and skilled at prioritisation; you are influential and diplomatic in an international stakeholder environment; and you can translate ambiguity into practical standards, governance frameworks and roadmaps.

We offer: an interim assignment for a period of 3-6 months to start up the process and make a first analysis and project plan; 24 hours per week; an hourly rate of around EUR 110,00 – EUR 125,00 per hour; hybrid working with the work location in Amersfoort; start date to be determined, beginning of November; contract type interim assignment, ideally for self-employed professionals (ZZP).
