Omschrijving
We're working with a large financial organisation in Utrecht that is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help strengthen and scale its enterprise data platform. The role focuses on building secure, scalable and high-performing data solutions within an Azure environment. You will work hands-on with Azure Databricks, PySpark and Python, developing production-grade pipelines and APIs that enable users across the organisation to work with reliable and compliant data.
The role includes: designing and optimising large-scale pipelines in Azure Databricks; developing APIs and automation using Python; working extensively with PySpark and large datasets; improving performance, reliability and scalability of data services; building automated workflows that support compliant data usage; working with Azure Data Factory, Storage, SQL and Azure DevOps; collaborating with data, platform and governance teams; strengthening data quality and end-to-end solution integrity.
They are looking for: 8+ years of experience delivering production data solutions; strong Python, including OOP and API development; strong PySpark and Databricks experience; experience optimising Databricks pipelines/workloads; Azure experience across ADF, Storage, SQL and DevOps; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience within large-scale or regulated data environments is a plus. The position is hybrid in Utrecht and offered as a long-term secondment opportunity through IQ Staffing, giving you the stability of employment with IQ Staffing while working directly within the client’s data engineering environment.
In simple terms, you will be helping build and improve the secure data services and pipelines that enable teams across the organisation to work with high-quality, compliant data.
