For our client Equigy, we are looking for a Senior Technology & Operations Transformation Consultant. This assignment is suitable for an independent contractor (ZZP). Applications can be submitted until 8 October, 12:00 PM. Technology & Operations Stabilization and Crisis Management Enhancement Program: Equigy intends to strengthen its technology, operational governance and crisis management capabilities to ensure service continuity, stakeholder alignment, and effective incident response.
For the improvement of the crisis management activities such as coordination of incident-response efforts, assessment of operational risks and dependencies, stakeholder communication and alignment, prioritisation of recovery activities, architectural guidance for remediation actions, and the establishment of governance and decision-making structures required during a crisis period are to be further developed and improved. The objective of the sub-assignment is to provide advisory, governance, operational stabilisation and technology improvement services in support of the Technology & Operations Stabilization and Crisis Management Enhancement Program.
The following activities will be carried out: Operations & Governance: Assess the current operational organization and maturity level. Identify operational gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities. Support the establishment and improvement of operational processes, roles, responsibilities, and decision-making structures. Improve operational readiness and incident management capabilities. Support operational stabilization during the current crisis.
Define operational KPIs, reporting structures, and performance monitoring mechanisms. Create recommendations for the future target operating model. Identify the leadership, technical and operational competencies required to support the future Technology & Operations target operating model. Support knowledge transfer and transition planning where applicable. Technology & IT Platform Management: Assess the current IT platform landscape, architecture, and operational support model.
Provide input into defining and maintaining the technology strategy and roadmap aligned with Equigy’s business objectives. Evaluate platform scalability, resilience, performance, and availability to support future growth. Support to establish technology governance, architecture principles, and technical decision-making processes. Assess platform lifecycle management practices and provide recommendations for improvement. Assist in improving platform reliability through enhanced monitoring, observability, service management, and operational controls.
Support the implementation and optimization of DevOps, release management, and change management practices. Strengthen risk management, business continuity, and disaster recovery capabilities. Support vendor governance activities and provide recommendations regarding supplier management practices. Assist with enhancing compliance with applicable regulatory, security, and data governance requirements. Identify technology capability gaps and define recommendations for future organizational, platform, and resource requirements.
Provide strategic guidance on cloud services, infrastructure, integrations, and platform modernization initiatives. Support alignment between Product, Technology, Operations, and Business stakeholders to ensure effective prioritization and delivery.
Target State & Transition: Provide input with defining the target Technology & Operations operating model, including governance, organizational structure, and key capabilities. Support with the development roadmap for transitioning from the current state to the future-state operating model. Identify the leadership, technical, and operational competencies required to support the future Technology & Operations target operating model. Support handover, documentation, and transition activities to ensure long-term sustainability.
The expected outcomes are: Stabilisation of operations following the IBM data center incident. Defined and implemented operational governance framework with clear roles, responsibilities, and decision-making structures. Improved operational readiness, incident management, business continuity, and risk management capabilities. Enhanced technology governance, platform reliability, scalability, resilience, and performance. Alignment between business, product, technology, and operations stakeholders.
A target operating model and transition roadmap for the future Technology & Operations organization. Identification of the capabilities and profile required to support the future Technology & Operations target operating model.
The defined deliverables are: Assist with developing structured operational governance model. Validating and providing input with creation of operational KPIs, reporting structures, and performance monitoring mechanisms. Provide recommendations for the future target operating model. Provide input with strategic guidance on cloud services, infrastructure, integrations, and platform modernization initiatives. Support with recommending future organizational, platform, and resource requirements.

The expected effort is currently estimated at approximately 4 hours per day. Depending on project developments, operational priorities, incident recovery activities and business needs, the required level of engagement may be increased up to full-time capacity.
