Location detail: Brussels centre - typically 2 days per week at the office. Remote/telework from Belgium only.

About the role: A major Belgian insurer in Brussels needs a Senior Test Automation Engineer in Life Information Systems. You execute, maintain and develop automated test scripts, track defects, and work with stakeholders so issues are resolved in time. The mandate is hands-on quality engineering: keep test assets reliable, improve efficiency, and support delivery of business solutions.

Responsibilities: Create, execute and maintain automated test scripts in OpenText UFT; Optimise existing object repositories and keep test assets reusable; Plan and run suites in HP ALM (cycles, test suites, execution planning); Detect defects early, report clearly and follow through to resolution; Work with the testing team, IS, business and management in a structured way; Contribute to testing governance, coordination and continuous improvement.

Business experience: Software testing / ISTQB Foundation - Junior (0–2 years) - Mandatory; Insurance knowledge - Not specified - Preferable; Project management knowledge - Not specified - Preferable.

Functional experience: Creation and maintenance of automated test scripts - Mid-level (2–5 years) - Mandatory; Defect handling: distinguish script maintenance from product defects - Not specified - Mandatory.
