Server Administrator – Windows & Linux

Pauwels Consulting is looking for a Server Administrator – Windows & Linux for a client in the pharmaceutical industry, based in Geel, Belgium. The role combines technical server management with a strong focus on regulatory compliance within a quality-controlled environment.

Responsibilities include: managing and maintaining Windows and Linux servers within virtualized environments; executing system updates and patches through formal change control processes; performing backup, restore, monitoring, and troubleshooting of the server infrastructure; supporting infrastructure qualification processes, including IQ/OQ, and preparing necessary documentation; ensuring data integrity by managing access controls and monitoring audit trails; participating in deviations, CAPA processes, and infrastructure audits; operating in accordance with SOPs and maintaining accurate technical documentation.

Requirements: 3+ years of experience in server or system administration; advanced knowledge of Windows Server and Linux; hands-on experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V; professional experience working within a GxP environment; being accurate, structured, and comfortable following strict procedures; fluency in Dutch and English.

Nice to haves: knowledge of EU GMP Annex 11, 21 CFR Part 11, or GAMP 5; a Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field.
