About the Client: Our client is a global clean energy technology business specialising in energy storage solutions and electric mobility infrastructure, supporting the transition to a more sustainable and low-carbon energy future.

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to support the delivery of a BESS project in Brussels, Belgium. This is a client-side, coordination-focused role and while it's not a hands-on commissioning role, a strong understanding of commissioning processes is important too.

Key Responsibilities: Client-side coordination of multiple EPC contractors across the BESS project lifecycle. Oversee onsite construction, installation, and electrical works to ensure safe and efficient execution. Support and coordinate commissioning activities, testing, and project handover. Monitor schedule, quality, and HSE compliance, proactively mitigating risks and delays. Manage site personnel and contractor interfaces, ensuring effective communication across stakeholders.

Provide regular progress reporting, documentation management, and issue resolution throughout project delivery.

Candidate Requirements: Eligible to work in Belgium as a freelancer (EU passport or Belgian residency). Electrical background & commissioning experience. BESS/Solar experience is highly beneficial. Fluent in English, Dutch is beneficial.

Contract Details: Location: Full time onsite in Brussels.

Duration: 12 month contract.

Rate: Competitive freelance daily rate based on experience and qualifications.
