The SME Planner a.i. will support the deployment of a new enterprise-wide operating model and system landscape by acting as the local expert within a specific process area. The role combines business process expertise, user training, testing, issue resolution and change management to ensure a successful transition and adoption across the organization. Be part of the business transformation programs within a global organization. Assignment until June 2027.

About Our Client: A leading international retail organization in North Holland undergoing a major digital transformation program. The company is looking for two interim planners to join the team for an interim assignment until June 2027.

Job Description: In this role as SME planner a.i. you will: Develop and implement AI-driven forecasting models for supply chain operations. Analyse historical data to identify trends and improve accuracy in forecasting. Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to align forecasts with operational needs. Monitor and evaluate the performance of forecasting tools and processes. Generate detailed reports to support decision-making within the supply chain.

Work on improving inventory management through predictive analytics. Identify optimisation opportunities in supply chain workflows. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in data usage. Act as the local Subject Matter Expert within a designated functional area. Support the implementation of a new ERP and business process landscape. Participate in workshops to identify gaps and validate proposed solutions. Represent local business requirements and provide input on process design.

Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate new processes and reporting capabilities. Deliver training sessions and coach end users throughout the transformation journey. Adapt global training materials to local business requirements and use cases. Act as the first point of contact for users following deployment. Log, track and resolve operational issues, incidents and service requests. Escalate complex issues to project teams and relevant stakeholders when required.

Support change management and communication activities within your functional area. Monitor process performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Collaborate with business, operations, supply chain and technology teams.

The Successful Applicant: Requirements for this SME Planner a.i. role: Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent professional experience. 3-5 years of experience in similar roles. Strong operational experience within one of the following areas: Supply Chain Planning, Distribution & Fulfilment, Logistics & Transportation, Copacking / Subcontracting, Customer Service / Order Management, Business Process Improvement. Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP or comparable enterprise platforms.

Experience within retail / FMCG. Strong understanding of business processes and operational workflows. Experience supporting change initiatives, transformation programs or system implementations is highly desirable. Excellent training, coaching and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to translate complex processes into practical solutions for end users. Comfortable working in a fast-paced project environment.
