Omschrijving
As a Software Engineer II within Insurance offer team, you will contribute to the development and advancement of backend services for insurance offers, implement eligibility and configuration logic, integrate with dependent systems, and help keep production services reliable, all as a greenfield project using latest cloud technologies. As a Software Engineer II, you are responsible for the development, performance, and scaling of services, components and other internal systems. You will work independently and will also be responsible for making technical decisions within a team. Important aspects include: rapidly developing next-generation scalable, flexible, and high-performance systems with end-to-end ownership by monitoring and adjusting SLIs and SLOs; solving issues with the mobile apps, website and internal systems, prioritizing based on customer and business impact; acting as an intermediary for problems with both technical and non-technical audiences; testing with thousands of experiments running at the same time; evaluating customer needs and coming up with ideal solutions, assessing different languages (Perl, Java, etc), architecture and risks; and contributing to the growth of Booking.com through interviewing, on-boarding, or other recruitment efforts.
