Our client, a major company in the transportation sector, is looking for a Software Engineer (TypeScript) for Data Integration & Event Platforms. As a TypeScript Developer, you'll be involved throughout the full software delivery lifecycle, from requirements analysis through to deployment and production support. Required skills: 3-5 years' commercial experience with TypeScript and Node.js, strong backend development experience building APIs, integration services, message consumers and data processing applications, experience gathering requirements and working directly with business stakeholders, strong problem-solving and troubleshooting, solid SQL knowledge, experience with messaging platforms or NoSQL technologies, experience with automated testing, knowledge of Docker, CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (Azure preferred), understanding of distributed systems concepts (idempotency, retry patterns, event ordering, eventual consistency), and fluent English communication skills.
Desirable experience includes Event-Driven Architecture, Event Sourcing, CQRS or Projection patterns, Azure Event Hubs, Kafka or similar streaming technologies, Protobuf, gRPC and schema versioning, Kubernetes and GitOps tooling such as ArgoCD, Clean Architecture, Hexagonal Architecture and Dependency Injection, experience in transport/logistics/rail or operationally intensive environments, and exposure to AI-assisted software development tools.
