Solution Architect

Sparagus is looking for a Medior Solution Architect to support a large-scale business and technology transformation program for a major organization in the financial services sector. The position is hybrid in Brussels, with 3 days per week onsite. The working language is English; French or Dutch is a plus. The role involves working closely with senior architects, business stakeholders, delivery teams, security, privacy, legal and operations to define the target architecture and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles and governance.

Key responsibilities include translating requirements, designing the target architecture for each phase, proposing temporary solutions when direct migration is not possible, evaluating solution options, managing risks, producing architecture documentation using Sparx Enterprise Architect, and ensuring compliance with governance. Mandatory requirements include at least 6 years of overall professional experience, at least 3 years as a Solution Architect, strong English communication skills, strong experience with AWS application architectures (especially serverless), good understanding of BPMS, Event-Driven Architecture, Agentic/AI platforms, architecture documentation and governance, and availability to work 3 days per week onsite in Brussels.

Interpersonal skills required are strong teamwork and stakeholder management, excellent listening and communication, resilience, adaptability, a creative and solution-oriented mindset, and the ability to operate in a complex transformation environment. Nice-to-have qualifications include experience with large-scale transformation programs with significant budgets, experience in financial services or insurance, understanding of Employee Benefits processes, technical understanding of mainframe environments, and professional proficiency in French or Dutch.
