Volledige omschrijving
We are looking for an experienced Senior Solution Architect to contribute to the ongoing evolution of its wealth management platform (GWP - Gambit Wealth Platform). The Solution Architect will play a key role in ensuring architectural consistency, technical governance and alignment across multiple development squads. The main objective is to simplify and optimise the existing architecture while improving the platform's maintainability, scalability and autonomy.
Key responsibilities include ensuring architectural consistency and alignment across multiple development squads, leading and facilitating Architecture Chapter meetings, supporting Technical Leads and development teams in making architectural decisions, analysing the existing architecture and identifying opportunities to improve maintainability, performance and scalability, rationalising and consolidating microservices to reduce technical complexity and simplify operations, hosting, testing and integration, designing, simplifying and standardising APIs and integration mechanisms, documenting architectural decisions, evaluating technical alternatives and identifying potential trade-offs, collaborating closely with developers, Technical Leads, Business Analysts and business stakeholders, reducing external dependencies and improving the platform's technical and functional autonomy, and contributing to the continuous improvement and long-term evolution of the GWP platform.
The technical environment includes C#/.NET Core, Entity Framework, Microservices architecture, REST APIs/OpenAPI, AsyncAPI/TypeSpec, ArchiMate/UML, Enterprise Architect, Microsoft Azure DevOps, Docker/Kubernetes, Helm, CI/CD, PostgreSQL, Apache Kafka, NUnit/xUnit.
Required profile: strong experience in software development within the Microsoft .NET ecosystem, ideally 10+ years; proven experience as a Solution Architect, ideally 3-5 years or more; solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices and API architecture; experience in analysing, simplifying and modernising complex existing architectures; good knowledge of containerisation, DevOps practices and cloud environments; ability to challenge technical decisions and propose pragmatic, scalable and maintainable solutions; experience working across multiple development teams or squads; strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills; ability to balance technical requirements, business needs and long-term architectural objectives; fluent in French and English (both required).
Nice to have: experience with architectural governance and Architecture Chapters; knowledge of enterprise architecture methodologies and modelling tools. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, pragmatic and technically strong Solution Architect who can combine architectural vision with a deep understanding of software development, comfortable working with multiple squads, challenging existing architectural decisions and driving improvements across a complex software platform.
This is a cross-functional Solution Architect position, not simply a Senior .NET Developer or Technical Lead role.
