Solution Architect – .NET & Domain Driven Design

Pauwels Consulting is seeking for its client, a leading organization in the insurance sector, a Solution Architect to drive technological innovation and operational excellence. The role involves designing end-to-end solutions to modernize critical platforms while bridging the gap between business needs and technical implementation.

Responsibilities: Design pragmatic and sustainable end-to-end solutions that align with business requirements and IT architecture standards; Translate complex business needs into robust technical specifications and architectural designs; Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to foster consensus and drive alignment from project inception to production; Define short, medium, and long-term visions for IT system development within a hybrid environment of legacy and modern technologies; Present architectural solutions to the governance board and maintain high-quality documentation; Validate solutions with technical teams while considering implementation costs and long-term maintainability.

Requirements: 3+ years of experience in solution architecture and functional design; deep knowledge of Domain Driven Design (DDD) concepts and asynchronous integration patterns; experience navigating hybrid IT landscapes, specifically transitioning from legacy environments to modern stacks; proactive, creative, and capable of synthesizing large amounts of complex information; fluent in English with fluency in either Dutch or French and at least basic knowledge of the other.

Nice to haves: Experience in the life insurance sector; Knowledge of ArchiMate for architectural modeling; Familiarity with .NET, Angular, or COBOL environments; Willingness to explore and implement technological innovations in critical systems.
