Mission Context: Our client, a major player in the European energy sector, is looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join its IT Architecture department. The consultant will contribute to major transformation initiatives within the Electrical Assets domain, working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, architects, subject matter experts and delivery teams. The objective is to design and adapt robust technical solutions addressing business needs while contributing to the modernization of the application landscape and IT architecture.

Key Responsibilities: As part of the IT Architecture team, the Solution Architect will: Analyze functional and non-functional requirements, constraints and business needs; Translate business capabilities into relevant Solution Building Blocks using appropriate architectural styles, patterns and reference architectures; Act as a key link between the Product Organization, Architecture teams and Delivery teams; Support delivery teams to ensure solutions are implemented in accordance with the approved architecture and design; Produce architecture designs aligned with the organization's architecture vision, standards and guidelines; Design solutions involving application architecture and system integration; Participate in architecture governance and design boards; Support architectural decision-making using approaches such as ADR and ATAM; Contribute to transformation initiatives related to electrical assets and asset management.

Required Profile: The consultant should have: Minimum 6 years of relevant experience as a Solution Architect; Strong experience in Solution Architecture, Application Architecture and Integration Architecture; Experience applying architecture standards and methodologies such as ArchiMate, TOGAF, ATAM and/or CBAM; Good knowledge of Architecture Modeling Languages, particularly ArchiMate; Experience with Sparx Enterprise Architect is a strong advantage; Strong understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD); Good understanding and practical experience with modern architectural paradigms, particularly Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, Integration patterns; Ability to translate functional and non-functional requirements into concrete architecture designs; Experience working within architecture governance frameworks and design boards; Ability to work autonomously, take initiative and engage stakeholders at different organizational levels; Strong communication and collaboration skills; Agile mindset; previous experience in an Agile environment is an advantage; Result-oriented and comfortable working within multidisciplinary teams.

Practical Information: Location: Brussels area, Belgium; Remote/On-site: Hybrid – minimum 2 days per week on-site; Workload: Full-time / 100%. For non-EU consultants working in Belgium, candidates must already possess: A valid Belgian work permit allowing them to work in Belgium; A valid residence permit confirming their right of residence in Belgium.
