Sr. Platform Engineer (Core Platform Engineering)

For one of my clients, I'm looking for a Freelance Sr. Platform Engineer to join a highly skilled Core Platform Engineering team. You'll play a key role in evolving the company's Internal Developer Platform (IDP), enabling development teams with scalable, reliable and automated platform services. The environment is highly engineering-driven, with a team consisting largely of senior engineers.

Tech stack: Terraform, Kubernetes, GitOps, AWS & On-Prem, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Grafana. What they're looking for: 7+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, SRE or Infrastructure Engineering; Experience within a central platform or developer enablement team; Strong communication skills and the ability to operate at a senior level; Someone who enjoys ownership, technical depth and collaborating with other experienced engineers.

Practical details: Freelance assignment; 24-month contract; 40 hours per week; Hybrid working model: 3 days per week on-site; Office location: Amsterdam area.
