Support Engineer – Broadcast & Audiovisual Technology

Our client, a prominent organization in the media sector, is looking for a support engineer to join their production environment. The role focuses on providing technical assistance to production teams and ensuring the continuity of live broadcasts across various media platforms.

Responsibilities: Provide first-line technical support to production staff, including journalists, editors, and directors. Solve technical incidents independently or coordinate with specialists to ensure rapid service restoration. Support technical facilities and equipment used for radio, news, and television production. Monitor and assist with technical projects such as new studio setups and recording systems. Perform testing on new equipment and software to ensure operational standards.

Develop technical documentation and provide training to end users.

Requirements: 3+ years of experience within a media or broadcast environment. 3+ years of experience operating or coordinating a technical environment. You possess practical knowledge of audiovisual technology and broadcast systems. You have experience with audio and video production, editing software, and processing media files. You bring technical proficiency in the Windows operating system. You possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field such as Industrial Engineering or Informatics.

You are willing to work in a flexible schedule including morning, evening, and weekend shifts. You're a proactive problem-solver with a customer-oriented and stress-resistant mindset. You are fluent in Dutch at a C2 level.

Nice to Haves: Knowledge of recording hardware such as microphones, mixing consoles, and video cameras. Familiarity with the macOS operating system.
