Are you a System Administrator with 5+ years of experience in Storage and BackUp? We are looking for a freelance consultant for one of our clients in the public sector. This is a long-term freelance opportunity based at the client’s office in Strasbourg, France. Requirements: 5+ years of experience in storage and backup (RedHat Linux); Experience with HP 3PAR, HP StoreOnce, HP Apollo CEPH, VEEAM, VMware, etc; Knowledge of ITIL V3 processes; Bachelor’s Degree in IT or equivalent; EU Citizenship required due to security clearance; Languages: English (fluent), French (desirable). Job Description: Install, configure and maintain the BackUp and Storage infrastructure; Acknowledge, troubleshoot and resolve tickets assigned to the team, escalate incidents internally or to 3rd party partners when required; Install storage and back-up software and system components; Maintain and adapt the configuration of storage and back-up software and system components (Lifecycle Management); Maintain storage and backup systems: incident resolution, problem resolution, diagnosis of software and hardware issues, coordination with third party suppliers and the central IT department of the customer; Advise the project team and the customer on availability management, capacity management, contingency planning, configuration management, replacement/upgrade of outdated equipment/software and other relevant tasks; Design and implement storage/backup solutions; Maintain relevant documentation/manuals/procedures. Participate in standby 7x24 (~1 week per quarter). Other: work shifts of 8 hours covering 08h30-18h30 Monday to Friday with some flexibility when overtime is exceptionally needed. Duration: long-term. Location: on-site in Strasbourg, France (no remote work allowed). EU Secret PSC is required for the function – will be requested by the client.
