Omschrijving
Lead and supervise pipeline pre-commissioning activities for green & brown field projects related to pipelines, spools, installation, tie-in, spools, riser operations including flooding, cleaning, gauging, hydrostatic testing, inline inspection, dewatering and nitrogen purging. Manage contractors' full pipeline pre-commissioning and decommissioning scope from engineering planning through offshore execution and closeout. Review and approve contractors' philosophies, execution strategies, and method statements. Coordinate activities such as flooding, cleaning, gauging, hydrotesting, dewatering, drying, and N2 purging; for de-commissioning handle pipeline isolation, depressurization, flushing, cleaning, subsea pipeline cutting, recovery, abandonment in place, grouting or capping, spool removal, and subsea tie-in disconnection. Review contractors' engineering calculations for hydrotest pressure, test duration, fill volumes, pig train configuration, dewatering flow rates, drying acceptance criteria, nitrogen requirements, compressor capacity, pump sizing, and temporary equipment requirements. Support engineering teams in defining decommissioning boundaries, pipeline status, contents, and isolation requirements. Ensure contractor activities are planned in line with SIMOPS, HSE, environmental, and marine requirements. Coordinate with contractors, offshore operations, offshore VMT, diving, ROV, marine, and HSE teams for safe execution. Manage punch lists, technical queries, site queries, and non-conformances related to pipeline pre-commissioning and decommissioning. Act as the office-based focal point for offshore pipeline decommissioning and pre-commissioning activities, supporting offshore teams with technical guidance, troubleshooting, and decision-making during execution. Provide technical support for offshore changes, deviations, unexpected field conditions, and formulating recovery plans including Management of Change. Essential skills: Bachelor's degree in mechanical or subsea engineering; 8 years offshore installation experience on vessels in Transport & Installation activities with minimum 1 year as supervisory role; 5 years experience as Field Engineer or site supervisor onboard installation vessels for similar activities with emphasis on decommissioning of subsea facilities; previous work experience with other major operators or LNG and knowledge of QELNG PTW systems desirable but not mandatory; extensive knowledge in subsea pipeline pre-commissioning and decommissioning, pipeline pigging, subsea isolation plugs, subsea decommissioning tools; extensive experience of pre-commissioning vessel supervision and familiarity with international standards such as DNVST-F101, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, API standards, ISO pipeline and offshore standards, and client-specific offshore standards; expertise in submarine pipeline decommissioning including technical plugs (e.g., STATS) for safe isolation and abandonment; fluent English; MS Office proficiency; high-pressure environment experience; problem solving ability; team collaboration.
