Eisen

Omschrijving
Our client, a prominent organization in the public safety sector, is looking for a technical expert to support a large-scale sensor and surveillance program. This role focuses on drafting complex technical specifications and managing public tenders to ensure future-proof technological solutions for data-driven operations. Responsibilities include drafting comprehensive technical requirements and specifications for large-scale public procurement contracts involving camera systems and sensors; conducting detailed market analyses to identify existing and future solutions from global technology providers and integrators; facilitating IT workshops with multidisciplinary stakeholders to capture operational needs and define technical criteria; coordinating technical input regarding infrastructure, architecture, connectivity, and data security to ensure system compatibility; supporting the full tender lifecycle, including the definition of selection criteria, award methodologies, and service level agreements (SLAs); and monitoring existing IT contracts and performance metrics to ensure alignment with contractual obligations and security standards.
Requirements: 5+ years of hands-on experience in drafting and managing IT public procurement contracts; advanced knowledge of IT infrastructure including hardware, software, connectivity, and data storage; proven experience in defining and monitoring KPIs and SLAs within complex technology environments; in-depth knowledge of Belgian and European public procurement legislation; proficiency in the MS Office suite for documentation and reporting; a proactive and solution-oriented mindset with strong diplomatic and stakeholder management skills; and fluency in Dutch or French with active knowledge of English and passive knowledge of the other national language.
Nice to haves: familiarity with traffic safety technologies or public safety data processing; understanding of data protection regulations within a security context; and experience with SharePoint and Confluence for knowledge management.
Offer: start date September 15, 2026; project until end of 2026 with extensions possible; full-time work regime; location Brussels; hybrid working model (minimum 2 days onsite); contract open to both permanent employees and freelancers.
