The AI-Enabled Test Management Focus includes identifying and prioritizing high-value AI use cases across the testing lifecycle, defining measurable success criteria and tracking AI-driven improvements while maintaining quality and control, promoting responsible AI adoption and compliance with security, privacy, and governance requirements, establishing reusable AI practices, generated test assets, and knowledge-sharing mechanisms across teams, and collaborating with engineering teams to integrate AI-assisted testing into GitLab workflows and standardized CI/CD pipelines.
The required experience includes proven success leading enterprise or multi-team test transformation, quality engineering, technology change, or process roll-out programmes; strong knowledge of test management, strategy, automation, environments, test data, defect management, quality gates, and evidence-based assurance; experience in Agile and DevOps environments with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab experience preferred); practical knowledge of AI-assisted software engineering or testing, including benefits, limitations, evaluation, and responsible-use controls; experience introducing processes and tools across autonomous teams in complex, regulated, international organisations; ability to define measurable outcomes and translate delivery data into concise executive reporting; experience with cloud and modern engineering platforms (AWS and OpenShift exposure beneficial); and financial services, clearing, or other regulated-industry experience is preferred.
The ideal profile is a senior, outcome-oriented project leader who creates clarity and takes ownership in complex environments, credible with engineers and effective with senior stakeholders, risk functions, and business representatives, with strong facilitation, negotiation, communication, and change-management skills across cultures and regions, analytical and pragmatic, balancing speed, quality, control, and sustainable adoption, comfortable challenging assumptions, resolving dependencies, and making risks transparent, curious about AI and emerging testing practices, with sound judgement and human accountability.
