Z/OS Engineering Associate Manager – 100% Remote

We are looking for an experienced z/OS Systems Specialist with 10 to 20 years of Mainframe experience. The technical focus is on z/OS system administration, JCL/JES2/SDSF, SMP/E, workload management, production support and CA-to-IBM/ISV product migrations. You will work in a technical Mainframe environment focused on z/OS administration, production stability, system maintenance and migration.

Location: fully remote.

Hours: 40 hours per week.

Working hours: 08:30–17:00 CET.

Working language: English.

Joining preference: immediate availability. Responsibilities include managing and maintaining z/OS systems, performing IPL activities, monitoring batch workloads, installing system software using SMP/E, applying patches, providing L2/L3 support, troubleshooting, participating in CAB processes, supporting Disaster Recovery drills, and performing migrations from CA tools to IBM or alternative ISV products.

Must haves: 10 to 20 years of relevant Mainframe experience, strong hands-on experience with z/OS, JCL, JES2 and SDSF, product migration experience from CA tools/software to IBM tools/software or alternative ISV products, knowledge of SMP/E, system upgrades and patching, experience with batch scheduling tools such as TWS or Control-M, exposure to CICS, DB2, IMS and MQ, familiarity with RACF and Mainframe security concepts, and fluent spoken and written English.

Nice to have: experience migrating CA Deliver to Beta DocZ (Beta 93), CA Dispatch to Beta DocZ (Beta 93), CA TPX Session Management to IBM CL/SuperSession, CA View to Beta LogZ (Beta 92), and CA JMR to BETA LOGZ.

Contract: Deta (detachering), hourly rate to be discussed / local rates apply. Start ASAP, end date 1 year + extension.
