Capex Project Manager

The Company: A leading pharmaceutical manufacturing organization operating within a highly regulated GMP environment. The site focuses on production excellence, continuous improvement, and strategic capital investments to support production expansion, process optimization, and the introduction of new products.

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced CAPEX Project Manager to lead complex capital investment projects at a pharmaceutical manufacturing site. This role is responsible for managing projects from concept through completion, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, quality, safety, and schedule requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders to deliver strategic business objectives and operational improvements.

Responsibilities: Lead end to end CAPEX projects including production expansions, equipment replacement, process improvements, and new product introductions; Develop project plans including scope, timelines, budgets, resources, and risk assessments; Manage multidisciplinary teams across Engineering, Quality, Safety, Maintenance, Procurement, Finance, and Operations; Coordinate feasibility studies, conceptual designs, project definitions, and investment proposals; Monitor project progress and ensure achievement of project objectives and deliverables; Manage project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies; Oversee construction, installation, commissioning, startup, qualification, and validation activities; Ensure compliance with GMP requirements, safety standards, and quality expectations; Maintain effective communication with project sponsors, management teams, contractors, suppliers, and external partners; Track project performance through KPIs and provide regular project updates and reporting; Manage project budgets and resource allocation to ensure efficient project delivery; Ensure complete project handover including documentation, maintenance packages, and operator training; Support continuous improvement initiatives and project management best practices.

Requirements: HBO level education or equivalent working and thinking level; Technical education preferred; Fluent in Dutch and English both written and spoken; Minimum 4 years of experience managing industrial implementation projects; Proven experience delivering CAPEX or technical investment projects; Experience managing complex project budgets, schedules, and resources; Experience within pharmaceutical, food manufacturing, or other regulated industries is preferred; Knowledge of GMP environments, qualification, and validation activities; Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; Strong leadership and team management capabilities; Analytical mindset with excellent problem solving skills; Proactive, independent, and results driven approach; Strong quality and safety awareness; Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
