Job Title: D365 Business Central Technical Consultant.

Location: Mostly Remote – Sweden-based project, occasional visits to Brussels.

Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced Freelance D365 Business Central Technical Consultant to support a project in Sweden. The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, combining strong technical development capabilities with a solid functional understanding of Business Central modules and core business processes. The role will involve working across a broad range of Business Central functionalities, supporting technical development, integrations, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

The consultant will collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. The position is predominantly remote, with occasional travel to the Brussels office.

Key Responsibilities: - Provide technical consultancy and development support across Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. - Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into effective BC solutions. - Develop, customise and maintain Business Central extensions using AL. - Work across a broad range of Business Central modules and understand how they support core business processes. - Apply functional knowledge of Business Central to identify appropriate technical solutions. - Develop and maintain integrations between Business Central and external systems using APIs and other integration technologies. - Troubleshoot technical issues and support system optimisation. - Collaborate with functional consultants, internal stakeholders and business users. - Support testing, including UAT, defect resolution and validation of technical changes. - Contribute to releases, deployments, documentation and knowledge transfer. - Identify opportunities to improve Business Central functionality and overall ERP performance.

Required Skills & Experience: Required: 5–7 years of commercial experience as a D365 Business Central Technical Consultant / Developer. Strong technical expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, particularly AL development and extensions. Solid functional understanding of Business Central, including core ERP processes, module functionality and the relationships between different business areas. Broad experience across multiple Business Central modules.

Experience with integrations, APIs and third-party systems. Ability to translate functional requirements into technical solutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Comfortable working independently and collaborating with international project teams. Fluent in Dutch and English. Available to start at the end of October or beginning of November 2026.

Highly Advantageous: Experience with Business Central implementations, upgrades or migrations. Experience with ISV solutions and third-party extensions. Knowledge of finance, procurement, inventory, warehousing or supply chain processes. Experience with testing, UAT and deployment activities. Previous experience working on international projects.
